It’s not a dream; “Black Mirror” is coming back on a television near you.
The sixth season of the sci-fi anthology series will be its first new season in four years. The show’s revival was confirmed by Netflix on Wednesday in a press release.

Black Mirror’s upcoming season will have “more variety than ever before.”
The high-tech world in which “Black Mirror” is set quickly gained notoriety for its gloomy and satirical portrayal of the influence of technology on society. The new season won’t veer too far from the theme of the Emmy-winning show, but according to Brooker, there will be some surprises.
To push the definition of what “a Black Mirror episode” even is, Brooker stated, “we’ve got some new elements in addition to some of the more familiar ‘Black Mirror’ tropes, including some I’ve previously sworn blind the show would never do.”
The tone of each story is still wholly “Black Mirror,” he continued, “but there are some insane swings and more variety than ever before.
Who will appear in Season 6 of “Black Mirror”?

The sixth season’s teaser trailer debuted on Wednesday. The trailer has a number of unsettling imagery, including a spooky sight of an Emerald Pines Diner sign, a room that is engulfed in flames, and a character smashing someone’s skull through a glass counter.
According to Brooker, “I can’t wait for people to binge their way through it all and hope they enjoy it — especially the bits they shouldn’t,”
What the ‘Black Mirror’ creator has stated in the past regarding Season 6
In a May 2020 interview with Radio Times, creator Charlie Brooker disclosed that he had turned his attention away from creating a new season of “Black Mirror,” stating that he was unsure of how the show’s apocalyptic tone would be received given the societal tensions of the time.
At the time, Brooker stated, “I’m not working away on one of those because I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about societies going apart. I’ve started composing scripts to amuse myself because I want to revive my comedy abilities.
