The launch of Disney Cruise Line’s new private island in the Bahamas and its sailing schedule from Port Canaveral, Florida, and other ports for the majority of 2024 have been revealed.
In June 2024, Disney will start sailing from Port Canaveral and Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, respectively, to its new private island, Eleuthera near Lighthouse Point in the Bahamas. The majority of the trips to the island during the summer of 2024 will leave from Port Everglades, with two trips—on June 8 and July 25—departing from Port Canaveral.
Together with Castaway Cay, which Disney has used as a port of call since 1998, Lighthouse Point is the second private island location that Disney has chosen for the Bahamas. For many cruises leaving from Port Everglades and Port Canaveral, Castaway Cay will continue to be a Disney port of call.
