In a stunning performance, Willow Smith and brother Jaden Smith smash the Coachella stage in 2023.

Despite the fact that her renowned father is currently Hollywood’s persona non grata, it seems like everyone still wants a piece of WILLOW.

By the time I got to Willow Smith’s Sunday Coachella appearance, right as the show was starting, a sizable and quickly expanding crowd had outgrown a Mojave tent. It would soon become clear that those present had good reasons for being there, reasons that went far beyond simply witnessing the no longer-so-Fresh Prince’s daughter at a time when acts like Bjork and Dominic Fike were performing elsewhere on the grounds.

Because it turns out Will Smith’s daughter, Willow, who performs under that name only, has a great voice. and a mean guitar player. and yell. She proved early and frequently during a set that featured many of her moodier songs—but never more electrifyingly—than during “Ur A Stranger”—that wow, can she scream.

She began it by saying, “I know we’ve already been emo for a long time, but we are going to get more emo right now.”

Even though everyone seemed to be having a good time at the dismal party, the audience went absolutely crazy when Willow pretended to be speaking to someone off stage and converted the concert into a family affair. The applause got even louder when Willow Smith’s brother Jaden Smith, who is also a successful actor and rapper, joined her on stage to perform their duet “Summertime in Paris.”

During the performance, the siblings heartfeltly gushed about one another, with Jaden expressing his pride at seeing Willow perform on such a large stage and Willow referring to him as her favourite person.

The song that the majority of us had come to hear next was “Meet Me At Our Place.” Although some people were undoubtedly upset that partner Tyler Cole did not join her on stage, Willow demonstrated that she was more than capable of carrying out the song on her own.

She said, “Wow, that was splendiferous,” when the audience had finished clapping along with some of the songs. I think that’s a word 80% of the time.

In the meantime, I’m now more than 80% certain that Willow is more than qualified to assume the family throne if Will Smith has been forced to renounce it.
