According to his representative, Jeremy Renner was in intensive care on Monday after undergoing surgery.
The actor, 51, was injured Sunday while ploughing snow near Reno, Nevada, and was airlifted to a nearby hospital, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, which confirmed an earlier statement from Renner’s representative.
Renner’s spokesperson confirmed on Monday that the actor had “suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries” that necessitated surgery.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office reported a traumatic injury near Mount Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada, around 9 a.m. local time (12 p.m. ET) Sunday.
According to the report, Renner was the only one injured.
The incident is being investigated by the office’s Major Accident Investigation Team, according to the statement.
It was unclear where he had been injured. According to The Associated Press, Renner owns a home in Nevada.
