On the occasion of Stan Lee’s 100th birthday, Marvel has announced a documentary about him.

Yesterday, Disney and Marvel marked what would have been Stan Lee’s 100th birthday by announcing that a documentary about Lee’s life and work will be available on Disney+ in 2023.

“100 years of wishing. A century of creation. Stan Lee has been around for 100 years.” Marvel captioned its tweet, which was accompanied by a short trailer for the upcoming documentary.

Lee was Mr. Marvel in many ways, as he co-created many of their iconic comic book characters, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Panther, and many others.

And, despite beginning his career with Marvel in the 1960s, when the company was known for its print comic books, Lee became a household name once the Marvel Cinematic Universe took off. Lee was well-known for his frequently hilarious cameos in Marvel films. Any Marvel fan would instantly recognise his iconic white moustache and glasses.

Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95.

The Stan Lee documentary will be released on Disney+ in 2023 at an unspecified date.
