The WNBA announced Thursday that the 2023 All-Star Game will be held on July 15, 2023, at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The defending champion Aces will host the events, which will include two days of “WNBA Live” fan events, according to the league.
On July 14, there will be a three-point competition and a skills challenge.
“The WNBA is thrilled to bring AT&T WNBA All-Star 2023 to Las Vegas, a city that showed such incredible support for the Aces and the WNBA throughout last season, particularly during the WNBA Finals presented by YouTube TV, when the Aces brought the city its first professional sports championship,” WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said.
“This will be the third AT&T WNBA All-Star Game to be held in Las Vegas, following memorable events in 2019 and 2021.”
When the All-Star Game was last held in Las Vegas in 2021, the featured format was WNBA All-Stars vs. USA Basketball Women’s National Team. Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Stars led Team WNBA All-Stars to a 93-85 victory. After a game-high 26 points, Ogunbowale was named Most Valuable Player.
“We’re thrilled to be hosting the league’s signature showcase event in the world’s sports and entertainment capital,” said Aces president Nikki Fargas.
