Where in the Caribbean is the happiest? Disney Cruise Line will launch the island destination Lighthouse Point.

The new island destination will open its doors to visitors for the first time next year, Disney Cruise Line announced on Thursday.

The Bahamas’ Lighthouse Point beach resort will become accessible to tourists on a few cruises in the summer of 2024. Plans for the project were initially disclosed by the cruise line in 2019.

In a news release, Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line, said, “We at Disney Cruise Line have a tremendous affection for the Bahamas people. “We are related in a variety of ways, including via our love of hospitality and storytelling. With the opening of Lighthouse Point, tourists from all over the world will be able to really appreciate the natural and cultural splendour of The Bahamas.”

Where is the Lighthouse Point location of Disney Cruise Line?

The vacation spot for families will be situated on the Bahamas’ island of Eleuthera.

What can guests anticipate from the Lighthouse Point stop on Disney Cruise Line?

Passengers can enjoy a variety of activities, much like on board the line’s ships, including a water play area for families with slides, water drums, and more, a volleyball court, a gaming pavilion, and bicycling and hiking trails.

According to the press release, the location will also have a Bahamas art and culture pavilion where visitors may learn about local customs from local artists. In addition, there will be a kids centre for kids between the ages of 3 and 12, a family beach nearby market-style food options, an adults-only beach with private cabanas, and other attractions.

The announcement states that the line will provide more specifics “at a later date” regarding food, entertainment, inaugural itineraries, and other matters. Castaway Cay, a private island owned by Disney Cruise Line, is located in the Bahamas.
