If visiting New Zealand, or Aotearoa, has been on your travel wish list, you might be in luck.
According to a news release, Tourism New Zealand and the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) are providing a free, four-day vacation to Northland for one American to experience “the ultimate New Zealand undersea experience.”
The prize includes complimentary hotel stays, ground transportation, roundtrip flights to and from New Zealand, a Discover Scuba Experience at the Poor Knights Islands with the diving charter business Dive! Tutukaka, as well as goods.
“It goes without saying that a large portion of what makes us such a unique place to visit is our natural surroundings. The chief executive of Tourism New Zealand, René de Monchy, remarked that there is more to this place than meets the eye. “Our unique topography and climate create amazing worlds above and below the surface for those travellers keen to discover all that Aotearoa, New Zealand, has to offer.
One of the best diving locations in the world is frequently praised to be the Poor Knights Islands, also known as Tawhiti Rahi. The region is a marine reserve that is home to numerous subtropical fish species that are exclusive to the waters of New Zealand. The reserve’s terrain is equally breathtaking to explore, with some of the biggest sea caves, sea arches, and tremendous sea cliffs in the entire globe.
According to Drew Richardson, President and CEO of PADI, “the seas of Aotearoa are a particular area for me personally, having had the chance to explore above and below the surface as both an adventure seeker and a diver.”
“I’ll never forget my first visit to the Poor Knights Islands, the jewel in the crown of the Tutukaka shoreline.”
Online entries for the competition are accepted from U.S. residents only beginning at midnight on March 29 and running until 11:59 p.m. ET on April 26. To apply, you must be at least 18 years old.
